All That's Sweet, Delicious and Calling

Embroidered ornament pattern from Bird Brain Designs
A sweet message from Martha Beck:

"Winnie the Pooh. There's a scene in which he, Piglet, and Rabbit get lost. Rabbit, the frantic intellectual, keeps steering them in circles. Then he leaves, and Pooh tells Piglet: 'Let's go home.' 'But, Pooh,' cries Piglet, 'do you know the way?' 'No,' says Pooh. 'But there are 12 pots of honey in my cupboard, and they've been calling to me for hours. I couldn't hear them properly before, because Rabbit would talk, but if nobody says anything...I shall know where they're calling from.' All I ever do is help people quiet their Rabbit minds until they hear the pots of honey speaking to their tummies. That's the way to our destinies: Follow what's sweet, delicious, and calling."

Aren't we all lost, wandering and suffering from rabbit minds?

May you find what's sweet, delicious and calling you this holiday season.

Blessings,

  1. Wishing you a Joyous Christmas & a bright New Year. What a sweet embroidered ornament.

I will send your link to Pat Gaska - she will have to see your angel quilt. Pat & I are in the same quilt history study group & quilt guild!

  2. Oh my goodness! What a lovely surprise to see my quilt on your blog, thanks to my friend Pat! I sometimes think of quilts that left me years ago. It's good to know that this one is still appreciated.

  3. Now I remember, maybe. The pattern was printed in a magazine a number of years back.

  4. Back again - wasn't sure how to contact you via email so will try this - you asked about blogging with the iPad. I downloaded Blogsy from the App Store - 4.99 Once you get logged in the format for posting is similar to Blogger (which would not allow me to post using the iPad ) adding links was a little confusing but I was able to post a photo from my camera roll. If you want to post photos from another source like a separate camera you apparently need a card reader. This is all new to me so I know how you feel!! The iPad I received is the regular size (Retina Display) and it is amazing how clear everything is - I need "big" because of my vision. Check the App Store to see if Blogsy is compatible with the mini or maybe there are Apps out there that you would like better. Have fun as we continue to learn new tech stuff!!
