FALL COLORS AND QUILTS

Today was another beautiful, sunny fall day, although only two lonely planets were twinkling when I left in the dark this morning for my job as a pre-school aide.  I love autumn colors....the reds and golds against the blue sky are so beautiful.  The maple tree in our front yard planted in memory of my mother who died 10 years ago is an amazing bright red...could I have a yard of that please???

Today was also my husband's birthday.  Here he is with his gift.  I'm looking forward to some delicious dishes!

How about a tour of the fall color quilts in the house!
The front door welcome quilt.

My mother found this pattern.  She liked the jaunty hats on the scarecrows!

The pumpkin quilt is my favorite.  Part pattern and part models we found at the grocery store which we finished off for dinner.

Pumpkin Quilt

I love the Starry Paths Quilt because it's so much fun to make a pile of pinwheels.  I think I made twice as many as I needed and absolutely loved combining the fabrics.  Scraps are much fun as a party.
Starry Path's with Grandma Kotek's scarecrow.

Of course, no quilt display would be complete without a work in progress!  A wall hanging getting hand quilted in the hoop.

Happy fall stitching,

Nana
